12-DAY REBUILD
Midway through G.E.M.’s X.X.X. Live World Tour, I was brought in to rebuild the dance component of an established arena production. With an entirely new dancer team and existing choreography being replaced, I had 12 working days to create, rehearse and integrate new material into a show already on the road.
LIVE DEBUT
The rebuilt choreography debuted on 28 June 2014 at Shenzhen Bay Sports Centre. Within days, the production moved into three consecutive sold-out shows at Shanghai’s Mercedes-Benz Arena, documented at approximately 18,000 people per performance — 54,000 across the three-night run. The new cast and choreography therefore moved almost immediately from intensive rehearsal into repeated arena-scale performances.
73-SHOW WORLD TOUR
The wider X.X.X. Live World Tour ran for two years and 73 shows, eventually reaching Asia, Oceania, North America and Europe. My engagement covered the 2014 China, Australia and New Zealand run, developing, rehearsing and executing original choreography within the existing touring production.
