PROJECT OVERVIEW
I translated the LA Establishment brand into a three-piece streetwear capsule for the Los Angeles dance community. An audio-derived circular mark, built from the phrase “LA Establishment Professional Programming,” became the foundation for a tonal black tee, a purple motion tee and a signature hoodie—each using scale, placement, halftone and contrast to shift between subtle wearability and visible collective identity.

APPAREL DETAILS
-
Black hero tee
Tonal front and circular back graphics create a quieter, low-visibility expression of the identity. -
Purple star tee
A brighter motion-led graphic treatment translates the identity into a more immediate apparel application. -
Signature hoodie
The LA monogram anchors the back, paired with a restrained star mark on the front.
HALFTONE AS FORM
Halftone was used as part of both the visual language and the screen-printing logic. On the hero tee, it enables the tonal front graphic and the more legible back application to belong to the same system. Across the capsule, tonal contrast and print behaviour were adjusted to suit each garment colour and intended read.

IDENTITY
As a choreographer, dancer and educator, I’ve seen how clothing can communicate discipline, taste and belonging before movement begins. The capsule translates that idea into a fashion system rather than generic merchandise.
BELONGING
Designed for the Los Angeles dance community, the capsule balances individual presence with collective identity, giving each garment its own character while keeping the system cohesive.
